To veil or not to veil
I thought it was about time this part of the blog had some female input so I thought I'd do a little post on veils. There are SO many different styles of veil to choose from or even the question of do you wear a veil at all? I thought I'd do a little research about the history of the veil and apparently, "...in the old days of arranged marriages, the groom rarely saw his bride at all before the wedding day. If she was ugly, a veil might have prevented him from running away." hmm... maybe not the angle we're going for here.
I am by no means an expert on veils and accessories but I guess at the end of the day it has to complement your dress and you need to feel comfortable. When I was deciding to have or not to have a veil I tried a few on and it just didn't feel like me so I wore a flower in my hair instead, some people even do a swap-aroo and wear a veil for the ceremony and fascinator for the rest of the day.
