Retro Cufflinks Save the Day
- July 02nd 2010 • Posted by: Steve Bliesner • Categories: Tips, Tricks & Ideas
I was lucky on our wedding day, that Jess was not only nice enough, but sneaky enough to get me a set of really nice cufflinks (they were a present that she had my best man deliver to me the morning of our wedding - for the record, for a good half hour or so, I thought that they were a gift FROM my best man...). Anyway.. I came across these very nifty cufflinks the other day... and they look pretty sweet to me.
From the seller on Etsy:
These Retro LEGO® 2x2 Tile Silver-plated Cufflinks will bring back some childhood nostalgia! They go great alone or even better with a matching tie tack! (Seperate listing)

Thanks for coming. Here’s a hessian sack.

Seriously though, in the age of of "competitive weddings" (ie, the art of having the most unique/bizarre/cute/whatever decorations/bombonieres on the day) these hessian sacks sure look like a sweet gift to give your guests. From the maker:
Oh the possibilities: How about for bridesmaids’ gifts, birthday goody bags, teacher’s gifts? As a centerpiece, how about personalizing with the happy couples new monogram on each table, or mark table numbers for receptions, or three bags clustered together on a buffet table or mantle with one bag for each honoree and the center bag displaying a heart-encased “and”? Or three bags displaying the message “Happy” “Birthday” “America”?
Apparently they are not machine washable (good tip, as I like to wash my burlap sacks regularly). Check em our on Etsy

Welcome to I watch weddings

Welcome to "I watch weddings". As wedding photographers, we come across heaps of cool/weird/interesting stuff and so, I figure we might as well share some of it on our site. For now, we are keeping this seperate to our main blog, as we don't want to clog that up with all this stuff. But, if we find something exceptional, it might make its way over there.
If you have come across anything on the web that you think is worth sharing, or, if you have any pictures of stuff from your own wedding, email it through to us.
(Yes, for the record - I did spell "weddings" incorrectly. Corrected}

Pole Dance Ruins/Improves Wedding

Update: rumour has it that this is a fake.. but I don't care, because I know plenty of friends who (if they have not already done so) are capable of such wedding "etiquette". A good wedding is not complete without several guests being maimed.
