Ahh... nothing like a good old fashioned "lets get married in the driveway" and "celebrate in the back yard" wedding. No seriously, after seeing how Emma and Roy pulled it off.. it's totally worth it.
The whole thing was run with military precision. When Jess and I went to down to Lismore to check out the house and surrounding areas a few weeks prior (see earlier post) Emma's mum already had the aisle roped out and double checked for accuracy with a spirit level and compass. This wedding was going off with out a hitch (pardon the pun). This is how a back yard wedding should be done - featuring an amazing marquee for the reception with real (yes, real) timber flooring - and beautiful lounges and tables spread through out the yard for canapes.
We had really hoped for some sunshine for this wedding (it was one we had been looking forward to for a long time) - but, we had cloud and a little drizzle... and it was perfect. We captured some pretty amazing images, that we were really happy with.
This is also a perfect example of how having 2 x photographers (Jess and I) really pays off. The images of Roy and Emma looking out towards the valley were taken at the exact same time as the photos of them standing by the big dead (lightening struck) tree. I shot from down the hill (towards old dead tree) and Jess shot from up top capturing the beautiful view. An awesome set of images shot at the exact same moment.. but each image unique in its own right.
Thanks a bunch for having us! We'll get the photobooth posted soon!
