USA A OK
One of the benefits of being self employed, is that when you have a bit of spare time, you can book a last minute holiday - to America. At first, we were talking about going camping - about an hour later, we had booked two tickets to the USA - leaving the following week. Yay! It has been a pretty speedy trip - a highlights tour I guess. I (Steve) have been to the US heaps of time before, but Jess never has. So, I wanted to make sure she saw some of my favourite places, as well as going to some new places.
Pretty much we covered off the basics : Los Angeles > Las Vegas > Grand Canyon > San Francisco and all the stuff in and around those places.
For those interested in the slightly more technical aspects of what we shoot with when we travel... for this trip, we took our Leica X1 point and shoot camera (almost all the first photos of Las Vegas were taken with this) and also our Canon 5D MKiii with our 50mm f/1.2 and 24-70 f/2.8. We generally only bring the 24-70 if we think we will be going somewhere where a wide lens would be useful (ie, Grand Canyon, redwood forests). Otherwise we try and pack light.
Anyway... below is a collection of photos from our trip. Enjoy!
